Klemperer在这里表现得十分稳重与克制，现代大乐队出来的效果不愠不火，而是线条清晰，节奏平稳，连古钢琴的数字低音都清晰可闻；EMI的录音也颇为出色，人声、乐队等众多声部均衡度极好。
和Richter、Beecham等大乐队版比起来多了几分虔诚庄重，唯一欠缺的就是其中几首应该有的欢乐感。
