拥有一个平凡不过的故事 在法国巴黎出生，两岁回归她的乡土非洲尼日利亚。她在恍如美国纽约的南方海港拉各斯长大，接触到教她鼓动的音乐，Marvin Gaye、Bob Marley、Aretha Franklin、Micheal Jackson成为她的奶水；年幼的她早已兼顾父母之职照顾家庭，她的唯一娱乐是以歌代话，一直爱把说话「爆肚式」唱出来，连父母也觉得她麻烦。
Asa爱走到公园或空地唱她的歌，义无反顾地，不断唱下去，坚持下去……那种郁闷伸延至她有机会跟巴黎不少知名音乐人合作，直至她成为MTV的南非音乐大使，直至她有机会为Akon、John Legend、Beyonce及Snopp Dogg演唱会开场。
不能任性地说，她的声音能够代表南非的根源感或风土味，但听众真的可以光播著这张CD，即能体会到一阵阵来自Asa的温柔的风 她的歌声透出强烈的纯真、毫无因修饰而变得processed的硬；她的音乐，绝对算不上是非洲民族音乐，因听众绝对听得出里头蕴含各种启蒙Asa的东西，包括pop、funky、R&B、world及soul，每种风格自然混和融合，感觉似曾相识却新鲜脱俗的。
首曲〈Jailer〉少许的雷鬼味，内容虽是陈腔滥调的slavery问题，但只来自Asa的一把声音声音、呐喊，仍感受到一点点的群众压迫感，有感她正唱出自身年少而郁郁不得志的无助，跟承接的〈360〉那种自我追寻相映成趣。〈Subway〉是流行味重的power ballad，而在Asa的演绎下，尤其能突出她唱腔的感染力。
〈Fire On The Mountain〉风土味最强，自然地讲出一个她故乡的歌谣，这正好透析Asa年少时「说、唱」的习惯，令你不其然跟著衬底那强劲的节奏。〈Eye Adaba Beautiful〉的魅力，她唱Yoruba，产生一种她很真情流露的玩味。
除了她的歌声，编曲跟乐器音色声调校极为上乘，听著里面轻盈、小心而跳脱的扫打鼓声，配以点点在旁点缀的弦乐与键琴，令人突然受到某种加勒比海般的舒闲来袭，幻想著、在微风之下睡个觉，偷闲一下……
